Students Compete, Pay for Facilities Access

The Coronado pool complex is a cautionary tale on what happens when area school districts create facilities that are intended to be rented out to private parties in order to generate revenue.  Students have had to compete with private groups for the use of their own facilities – and even with the facility being rented out at such high rates it is in deep financial trouble and may need to be shut down.
