Forging ahead

The San Diego Unified School District

abruptly announced it is forging ahead, releasing on May 30th
it’s Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) on the stadium expansion.

The District is not waiting for the final FAA determination on the safety of this project before issuing the draft EIR.
Do four 90 foot towers of lights, permanently in the flight path, lighting a stadium filled with thousands of people sound safe to you?

We will have only 45 days to respond to the DEIR (that will be July 15th).

Spread the word NOW.
Urge your neighbors, family and friends throughout the Peninsula to go to our website, pro-pointloma.org,
to learn more and sign on as a supporter.
Help turn hundreds of supporters into thousands of supporters.
Volunteer to help deliver fliers and/or do phone calling.

Pledge to appear at the school board meeting when the final EIR is voted on.
This will take place approximately three months after the DEIR release, that is, perhaps the end of August.
Help us pack the chamber.

Please give as generously as you can to support Pro Point Loma,
it’s ongoing work and the hiring of experts. See the various options for donations on our website: pro-pointloma.org.

Sign up for an EIR committee NOW.
Each committee will draft various detailed responses to each issue as it appears in the DEIR.
These sample responses can be used as guides for everyone responding to the school district.
We need absolutely as many responses as possible.
